Update - Orange Yellow Enigma

For those who have enquired about it recently the revision of 'The Colour of Zero Trainers' pdf has now been completed and it is available again under the new title 'Orange Yellow Enigma - The Colour of IJN Training and Experimental Aircraft'. This 8-page pdf has digitally rendered colour chips for the Kariki 117 colour standards, their closest FS595b equivalents, copies of the relevant official IJN instructions, a discussion about the colours used and suggested for kits and a detailed analysis of eight relevant hobby paints. The examination of hobby paint colours is not based on manufacturer data or equivalents listed on comparison sites but has been conducted by measuring actual brushed out samples of each colour with a spectrophotometer and using colour analysis and comparison software. It will be especially useful for those who do not have access to the GSI Creos (Gunze) paint range cited in many Japanese kits.

The pdf is now only available bundled with the Painting the Early Zero-Sen PDF and can be ordered by clicking on the email link in the right hand side-bar.
