The rather neat Airfix 1/72 A6M2 Zero will make a welcome comeback in March with splendidly striking new box art (above) and a colour scheme perhaps more representative of this variant. The price for this gem is a very competitive £6.59. To be encouraged as I understand that Airfix is not averse to the idea of future Japanese aircraft subjects!

I built the Airfix A6M2 a few years ago. It's a fine kit, I scratch-built a little additional detail in the cockpit but other than it's a good kit.
Of course, as you say, the camouflage scheme is ....well, I guess it's supposed to represent a Zero late in the war in dark green, light gray color scheme. Factual but not very representative of the A6M2. Recommended. But I also like Tamiya's and even Hasegawa's old Zeroes, just need cockpit detailing but still very nice kits.
This is a great kit by all accounts. If I wasn't stocked up on the Fine Molds and Tamiya kits, I'd pick one up. Perhaps if I can get some of the stash built up, I'll pick one up to use up some decals.

I like Airfix Zero because it can be easy assembled in Flight mode.
And I really like it that way!
